Behind the shelves at The National Archives - Tuesday July 13 - 18:00 for 18:30 Start

Paul Davies The National Archives

Kew, Richmond, Surrey TW9 4DU
For further information regarding Location, Parking and Maps

The National Archives at Kew presents the story behind the shelves of the nation’s public records. The current site was earmarked for development for the (then) Public Record Office in 1969. October 1977 saw the opening to the public of the first building, affectionately known as Q1 with an adjacent, but totally different Q2, being opened in 1995. Paul and his colleagues shared with us some of the history, the policies and operation of the site from the 1960s up to the present day. There was always an opportunity to ask questions. Ample time was afforded to network with a glass of wine as is usual.
